On May 18th, the 7th Annual College Planning Conference for Parents and Guardians was held at the Greater Dover Boys & Girls Club. The conference was a huge success: 90 attendees (parents, guardians, students, conference volunteers, planning committee members, speakers, and exhibitors). This year sixteen (16) high school students and current college students were awarded with scholarships. The total amount awarded was $10,500!
Tiffany G. (H. Fletcher Brown Boys & Girls Club) was awarded a college scholarship in the amount of $1,250.00. Tiffany will be attending Delaware State University in fall 2019. Naeemah M. was awarded $400.00 (former New Castle Boys & Girls Club member). Naeemah is currently attending Delaware State University. She has been awarded scholarships via this organization for the past four years.
