The Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware in partnership with the Red Clay Consolidated School District intend to submit an application to the State Department of Education for a 21st CCLC grant. The grant will support an academic-focused after school program for students at Shortlidge Elementary, Highlands Elementary, and Richey Elementary. If you have any comments on the proposed program, please contact Lauren Popp at cpopp@bgclubs.org. A copy of the application will be available for public review after submittal at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware’s Administrative Offices at the Clarence Fraim Club at 669 S. Union St. Wilmington, DE 19805.
This post reminded me of when my cousin struggled in school until he found a similar after-school club that literally turned his grades and confidence around. Programs like this are underrated but so essential.
