Congratulations are in order for Julia B. from our Claymont Boys & Girls Club, who has earned first place in her category in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America National Art Contest for her inspiring piece, “The Power of Us.”

Julia’s artwork is a powerful visual reminder of the beauty in the strength we find in unity. Her piece features hands of different skin tones encircling the globe. Through her art, Julia captures a message that resonates across communities and cultures.

“Even though we look different, we all share the same world,” Julia explains. “When we support, respect and stand by each other, we create real change.”

Her words and artistic vision embody the very spirit of the Boys & Girls Clubs: empowering young people to express themselves, uplift one another, and make a positive impact in their communities. Julia’s achievement not only highlights her incredible talent but also reflects the supportive environment that helps Club members discover and amplify their voices.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s National Art Contest celebrates creativity while encouraging youth to explore identity, storytelling, and social themes through visual expression. Julia’s win is a testament to how art can spark meaningful conversations and inspire action.

We are incredibly proud of Julia and the Claymont Club community for nurturing such talent and heart. Her work reminds us all that, while we may come from different backgrounds, we are united in ways that truly matter!
