Vice President of Grants Development


Dr. Suchi Hiraesave is the Vice President of Grants Development at Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware. In her role, she leads grants development efforts across the state. She has nearly 30 years of experience serving in various capacities: the first MSW for the organization as Individual Services Director at Clarence Fraim Club; Program Director; Executive director of great Dover boys & Girls Club, and Grant writer and administrator. During these years, Suchi has developed strong partnerships with State departments of Delaware such as Education; Health and Social Services; Substance Abuse and Mental Health; Children, Youth and their Families; Public Health; community-based agencies; and institutions of higher education to promote youth development through prevention, education, and nutrition programs.


She has served as a member and in leadership positions on many State and local committees. She has chaired IMPACT Tobacco-Free Delaware, a tobacco prevention coalition; Member Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) statewide coalition and Co-chair of Environment/policy subcommittee; Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast committee since 2006 (City of Dover); Member Delaware Cancer Consortium (A State of Delaware Governor appointed Committee), Tobacco Sub-Committee Unit, Chair, Past President, India US Society of Delaware.

She is the proud mother of two sons, Vijaeth and Vybav who are BGCDE alumni. Suchi earned her Master’s Degree in Sociology from Bangalore University, India, MSW from Delaware State University, and a Ph.D. in Social Work from Widener University.
