Great Futures Start Through Art!
Founded in 2002 and administered by Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware, Pegasus ArtWorks was created to provide at risk youth across Delaware with access to high quality arts programs.
Pegasus ArtWorks strives to inspire and enable young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, caring citizens through engagement in multidisciplinary, innovative art experiences. Through the arts, we promote creativity, self-discipline, critical thinking, communication skills, and cultural exploration, preparing youth for successful adulthood. Our Pegasus Artists serve as positive adult role-models and encourage the development of self-esteem and group cooperation through the learning of art skills and public exhibition. Every year, Pegasus ArtWorks reaches more locations within our statewide system, introducing more youth to our diverse art programs and creating life-long supporters of the arts.
Pegasus ArtWorks continues to expand our innovative programming with the goal of introducing more youth to our challenging art programs each year, creating confidence, growing communication and literacy skills, and creating lifelong creative thinkers.
This program is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the art in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
