Staff Highlight: March 2019 Excellence in Customer Service Awarded to Laura Waltermire

“Hats off” to Laura Waltemire, who is the recipient of the distinguished Excellence in Customer Service award for March, 2019.  In this case, she is lauded for the various ways she has helped Kent and Sussex County School Site Directors. Her development of an Excel ledger for Kent and Sussex School Sites is an example. Laura’s supervisor, Sharon Gump, reports hearing every day from directors how much the new ledger has simplified their lives, how quickly they now provide accurate, up-to-date information to parents on bills owed, credits due, and POC rates. Providing balances to parents is now just a click away.

 

That’s just one of many contributions Laura has made. She has an open door to the team to help them with any questions that come up during the work week. She also has developed an Monthly Statistical Report (MSR) worksheet to help Directors with data reporting, since School Sites don’t have KidTrax. She also checks MSRs for the region and helps STARS sites with setting up their program environment and staff boxes. She also serves as credential holder for those sites and plays a huge role in managing the Kent County Summer Fun Club operations.
