Western Sussex Boys & Girls Clubs 2017 Youth of the Year Andrez J., and his Youth of the Year Mentor, Athletic and Teen Director, Eric Hastings, were awarded Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware College Scholarships to aid them in their pursuit of higher education.

Andrez was awarded the Tallman Scholarship, established in 1942 by the Tallman Family, who had special concern for advanced education for deserving youth.  Andrez will start at the University of Delaware in the fall.

Eric was awarded the Professional Career Scholarship, established by CEO George Krupanski in honor of the dedicated staff at the Boys & Girls Clubs.  Eric will attend the University of Delaware in the fall to pursue his Masters in Business.

A college degree is worth 70 to 80% more than a high school diploma, earning the graduate more than $1,000,000 more over a lifetime in the workforce. A well educated workforce is key to a bright future. More and more students have come to rely on privately funded scholarships to make their educational dreams come true. Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is proud to offer several scholarship opportunities to Club members and staff.
