DAGSBORO BOYS & GIRLS CLUB BREAKS GROUND

On Tuesday, April 30th, the Dagsboro Boys & Girls Club held a ceremonial groundbreaking for their upcoming expansion project. “It has been a dream of the Dagsboro Club to grow its footprint,” said Unit Director Betty Harmon. “Being able to serve more kids and teens from our community is our ultimate goal and this new space will allow us to do it.”

President & CEO, John Wellons recognized the importance of Unit Board Leadership and the organizations partnership with the church and their role in working to make the expansion a reality. “Sherman Townsed and Welfare Foundation were instrumental in sourcing key funds to support the project. We look forward to growing our Club to serve 200 more school age members and start a program for teenagers” Wellons went on to say.

Special thanks at the event were given to The Atlantis Fund, Duane Lynch Family in Memory of Herbert & Myrtha Calhoun, In Memory of Raymond & Pearl Townsend, Lowe II Foundation and Welfare Foundation.
