Claymont Club Youth Out and About with Summer Fun Club

The Claymont Boys & Girls Club has been busy this summer!  The kids are staying active and engaged with great learning opportunities in the Club and in the community.  Check out some of their Summer Fun Club highlights below.

Getting to know Old Navy
Club teens had the opportunity to participate in a job shadow program that combined fun in-store experiences with real world job skills to give teens a glimpse of what it’s like to work in fashion retail and be an Old Navy Brand Associate. Leaders from the store shared about their store, interview tips and skills workshops such as, cashier experience, styling the mannequin and folding the merchandise.

Be Great Shout Out to Liz Mack who wonderful during the whole experience. We were so happy to work with one our Club parents Ms. Chrystal V. during the workshop too. Also, shout out to our teen volunteers, Kayla S. and Anazha B. Group 4 Youth Workers Mr. Lonnie and Mr. James were on hand to support the experience as well.

This event was to celebrate and acknowledge our group one members for their talents and skills. All of Claymont Summer Fun Club attended along with our group one’s family and friends. Thank you Ms. Emari, Ms. Destiny and Mr. Morris for holding such a wonderful event celebrating our youth and their amazing accomplishments.

Arnold’s Family Fun Center Trip
This was our first Summer Fun Club field trip where Club members were able to participate in the following activities: go-carts, laser tag,  arcade games, bumper cars, and more.   We had an amazing time and loved every minute of Arnold’s Family Fun Center.
